OPENAIRE laptop case/workstation

Have you ever heard about ergonomics? Well, I can say for sure that you’ve got a close and everyday relationship with it. According to the dictionary, “sf Eng ergonomics: an applied science concerned with designing things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely”. Conceived by the Trincia brothers, Nick and Beau, from Boston, the Openaire arises as a constructive suggestion to fulfill the today’s continuous pursuit of functionality and instantaneity.

The device is a hybrid of a laptop carrying case, work surface, and chair. The system consists of an outer shell that opens up to take the shape of a comfortable seat, made up of individual panels, which adjust according to the person using it – its contours change as per the requirement of the body. When collapsed and packed up it serves as a double protection and a portable bag for the laptop. An inner case is meant to accommodate the laptop and also contains a protective sleeve that functions as an ergonomic work surface.

Made of a light weight and semi-rigid material, the Openaire come as a solution for people from various walks of life and for those who perceive the whole world as their possible ambience of work.
